I don’t know about you but I love Pinterest!! Looking through and capturing many ideas for weddings, parties, home improvements, recipes, and I can keep going on and on but one thing I do love is that it’s a great tool for my clients. At our consultation I will look through their boards and it gives me an understanding of their style that sometimes it’s so hard to explain and with this board it captures what their vision for their wedding or event.
On Memorial Day, we volunteered to be part of the Memorial Day flower program to hand out 400 roses to families and friends that have lost a love one that served our country. At the end of the ceremony parade we placed the remaining roses on the headstone of our fallen veterans at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Vernon, CT. It was a privilege to be part of this amazing program to honor our veterans who serve and die for your freedom!
I had a pleasure to work with Clark’s mother again. Her daughter got married two years ago and now her son was getting married. Justine and Clark are both chefs and wanted to incorporate herbs into the wedding. Justine loved the idea of using herbs for boutonnieres. I loved herb boutonniere….organic, nature, and they just smell delicious.
This is probably my most favorite wedding. Something about the “cafe au lait” dahlia that I absolutely in love with. The large flower and the color is so gorgeous and feminine.
Tatum come to me wanting a rustic vintage romantic feel in a very muted color with a slight pop of pink. She also collected vintage milk glasses in all sort of styles and shapes and wanted to incorporated in the centerpieces. Well, on that day that I delivered the bouquets and centerpieces I guess I nailed it because when Tatum saw her flowers she just cried.
The one thing about my job that I don’t like is that after the wedding is over I miss the fun and enthusiastic that I spent with my brides. I had so much fun working with Nicole and loved her personality, a great person to work with and her family. We were always in touch by email, texting, and Skype. Coming up with many inspirations and ideas for their invitation, table decor, and wedding flowers.
